Meet Nou Chang from Augsburg She Graduated in 2010, She's Looking Toward Med School in 2011

Why Augsburg for Pre Meds:

Augsburg has a pretty strong program for the pre-med route. We have a
really strong and involved adviser who knows the ins and out of medical school.
We also have a very strong Undergraduate Research and Graduate Opportunities
(URGO) director/adviser who will guide you step by step on the rode to medical
school. Also, Augsburg has most if not all the classes that will satisfy
pre-reqs for medical school.

What Clubs Should a Pre med Join?

Pre-meds should join any club that will satisfy them- creatively and
intellectually. There's the Tri-Beta chapter that you can join if you are are
biology major.

What Professors are Solid?
Augsburg's professor and chair of the Biology Department, and the
director/adviser for Undergraduate Research and Graduate Opportunities Office.

Research On Campus

There are lots of research available for students. We are blessed with the
McNair Program, and URGO. These two organizations will definitely connect you
with research/job opportunities on/off campus. Plus, because Augsburg is so
small, you get the wonderful opportunity to know your professors more in depth
(and vice versa). Just knowing them well enough will open many doors to the
research/job market.

Great Professors
Great professors that I've had are: Dr. Pederson (BIO), Dr. Swanson (ENL),
Dr. Lowe (REL), Dr. Groven (COMM)- EXPECT TO BE CHALLENGED!

Majors on Campus
Students looking to go into pre-med can do any majors. Just be sure to
satisfy the pre-reqs of the medical school's you are thinking about attending.

What I love about Augsburg

Another aspect of Augsburg that I love is it's mission, dedication, and
passion to serve the community, locally and globally. We have many
organizations on campus, and excellent leaders who excite and motivate students
to be involved in the community. Instead of sitting on our butts all day long
in class, we delve head on to the real world and experience incredible hands on
lessons. Last but not least, Augsburg has an incredible Study Abroad office.
Their programs are amazing.
